Shelekha Levite Cohen Vincent P. Adams
Under the unction of the Holy Spirit, Tree of Life Messianic Apostolic Ministries was founded and co-founded by Apostle Vincent P. Adams and his wife, Leslie L. Adams. They were married in Stamford, Connecticut at Union Baptist Church and have nine children: Caroline, Lemuel, Meshach, Apollos (now with our Lord), Melchizedek , Enoch, Candace, Boaz, and Nehemiah. Apollos went home to be with our Heavenly Father at 3 months of age.
From his youth, Shelekha (Apostle) Vincent P. Adams was called to minister to the Body of Christ in numerous church positions; such as youth-elder, Sunday school and bible study teacher, alter & prayer minister, deacon walk, minister in training, and assistant pastor. He was ordained as a minister of Yeshuah The Messiah by the Elders of Universal Christian Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 4, 1996. Shelekha Vincent Adams matriculated at Oral Roberts University Graduate School Of Theology and Missions in 1998. He officially became a member of the Messianic movement in 2006 during Succot (Feast of Tabernacles). He recently discovered through DNA analysis that he is a falacia Jew by birth and a Levite directly descending from the line of Abraham, Moshe and Levi. He also is a business man and entrepreneur working as a real estate appraiser and investor to support the ministry.

The Bible says "Without a vision, the people perish" Prov. 29:18. Here at Tree of Life/ Etz Hayim, our vision for the immediate and near future is to buy vacant rural or near rural farmland and construct a facility where God's People can come and be healed, set free and delivered. Those individuals in need of ministry would reside at the facility in a family setting for as long as needed to effect their healing. A suitable site for the ministry should include its own water source from natural springs and rivers located on the ministry land. The site should also be suitable for farming and light ranching of small animals, such as goats, chickens, and rabbits. It would also be the aim of the ministry to establish its own independent food source through farming, ranching, and hunting. The ministry staff and its residents would be responsible for maintaining all functions of the facility.
What We Believe
Tree of Life / Etz Hayim is an Apostolic Messianic church, synagogue, or community, of the Judeo-Christian faith. Although we are not offended to be called "Christians", we prefer the term HaMashiach Jews practicing HaMashiach Judaism. First and foremost, we believe that Yeshuah HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) is divine and is the second person of the Godhead / Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified under Pontius Pilate, died, and buried. He descended into hell where He led captivity captive, and made a show of them openly. He, therefore, defeated sin, death, hell, satan, and the grave. On the third day, He rose from the grave alive, and was seen by men. He then ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, from whence He will come again in the Day of Judgment to judge both the living and the dead.
According to scripture, He went into the Holy of Holies not made by hands and poured out His shed blood on the mercy seat once and for all to guarantee the eternal life and salvation of all mankind. We recognize the canonical books of the Bible of Catholicism, Orthodoxy, and Protestantism as authoritative. The 613 Mitzvoth (Commandments), as delineated by Rambam (Maimonides) in the Torah, are also taught and adhered to whenever possible and appropriate. it is our belief that the Sacrament of Holy Communion is the actual body and blood of Yeshuah HaMashiach. We also believe that the oral traditions of Rabbinical Judaism are also divinely inspired, i.e. the Mishnah of the Talmud and the Zohar. The canonical books of the Protestant Bible is used as our highest and ultimate authority on the Word of God. Any discrepancies from other canons of Christendom, oral traditions of Rabbinical Judaism, and Apocryphal books from any source are abrogated by the Protestant scriptures. In other words, the Protestant Bible has the final say on all matters of faith.
