Spiritual Roots of Disease
To understand the spiritual roots of disease you must first understand the nature and structure of yourself. You are a Spirit, you have a Mind, and you live in a Body. Any deficiencies in any one of these three areas will eventually cause a disruption of proper function in the others. You may be a highly spiritual and awakened individual, but a lack of finances to provide what is needful for the body will cause the infection of your mental and emotional state with fear, anxiety, and perhaps anger. Once this happens, you will not be a highly evolved spiritual and awakened being for very long. Likewise, fear, anxiety, and elevated stress levels will soon cause your physical body to exhibit signs of everything from acne to the zika virus due to your depleted and suppressed immune system. Treating one area and neglecting another is the height of folly. All three must be in complete balance and harmony. Notice I didn’t say unity, and that is because unity amongst the three is automatic.
The Physical body has 5 senses: taste, touch, sight, smell, and hearing. Our five senses alert us to what is going on in the physical corporeal environment. They let us know “Fire! Hot! Stay away?”, “Food smell bad, taste bad! Don’t eat!”, “Loud BOOM! Noise! Run Away!” or “Look! Truck moving fast! Step back on curb!”. Remember, one of the laws of physics states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Corresponding to our five corporeal senses is the five basic emotions: love, sadness, anger, fear, and peace. You may say there are other emotions, but they are merely drop-down tabs of these five basic emotions. Just as the five senses keep us informed about the environment, our emotions inform us of what is going on in the spirit realm. A key dynamic of the spiritual laws states that “As Below, So Above and As Above, So Below”. Basic Law of Attraction states that what you feel is what you will attract out of the spirit realm and manifest it in your environment. Thus, you can see the importance of knowing exactly what you are feeling through your emotions at all times. You are responsible for your own reality with good or bad, happy or sad, poor or prosperous, or sick or healthy.
Unless you grew up on the Love Canal, 3-Mile Island, or in Chernobyl, all sickness and disease began in your mind and emotions due to deficiencies in your spirit! Now that we clearly know the source and root system of all disease, addiction, mental and emotional disorders, we can utilize and devise modalities that treat and minister to the triune individuals that we are. The first step is to change the way we THINK about disease. We must think of disease as a friendly messenger instead of a deadly assassin. Disease is not a hit-man with a contract on your life. Disease is a message from the body, whether physical, mental or emotional, that tells you that there is something wrong in your spirit that is affecting the upper realms of our unseen reality.
The paradigms and pathologies of orthodox medical and psychiatric treatment say that we must kill the messenger. This is done with highly evasive surgical procedures, chemotherapy, radiation, over-prescribed psychotropic drugs, a litany of antibiotics, pain killers, and other various pharmaceuticals.
Since none of the above methods are holistic, or deal with the source or the ROOT of the disease, it is not uncommon for many cancer patients who initially were diagnosed as in remission to have their cancers re-occur in other parts of their body. Even energy healers who release trapped or blocked energy and emotions and open energy pathways can see their patients return to them weeks later with new symptoms in other parts of their bodies. Dr. Bradley Nelson, author of the book The Emotion Code and inventor of The Body Code Healing System, talks of this phenomenon in his training sessions for Body Code practitioners.
In conclusion, when selecting an alternative healer, one should enlist a practitioner of holistic methods and modalities that addresses spirit, mind and body. The desired practitioner, or team of practitioners, should be individuals who are thoroughly acquainted with the spirit realms as well as the gambit of emotional issues and physical pathologies that affect the human body. Remember, no “one” modality will be effective on everyone all the time. The practitioner(s) should be keenly sensitive to the spirit realms in order to select or help you select the appropriate modalities for your unique and individualized circumstances and conditions. This would mean that the practitioner should have a wide range of spiritual, emotional, and physical modalities from which to choose from.
This inaugural article will be a regular column, by the same name, in the weeks and months to come. The authors will select a particular medical or emotional condition and examine its spiritual root causes to help affect your healing. Sister Leslie's Five Elements Movie Project
As many of our friends know, Rabbi Vincent and I felt the Holy Spirit very strongly to go and study Traditional Chinese Medicine. We looked into several schools and were accepted at Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
For our TCM Basic Theory Class, we were assigned a creative Five Element project. I chose to do an illustrative and instrumental Visual to explain what the Five Elements represent. The Five Elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine is explained for you below:
A Comprehensive Template Reflecting Natural LawThe Five Elements are a comprehensive template that organizes all natural phenomena into five master groups or patterns in nature. Each of the five groups—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—include categories such as a season, a direction, climate, stage of growth and development, internal organ, body tissue, emotion, aspect of the soul, taste, color, sound . . . the categories are seemingly limitless. The Five Elements reflect a deep understanding of natural law, the Universal order underlying all things in our world.
It provides a master blueprint that diagrams how nature interacts with the body and how the different dimensions of our being impact each other. When studying the Five Element Framework it is important to emphasize that this multi-dimensional view of life offers a diagnostic framework to recognize where imbalances—body, mind, emotions, and spirit lie. The Five Elements include the internal organs, and the interconnected relationships between them.
Here is the link to view my movie. I uploaded it on Google Drive. I will upload it on Youtube when I get the copyright for the music I used.
Enjoy!
